The Alumni Club Meet

Date and Time: 9th January 2022, 10:30 AM
Venue: Online Zoom Meeting

An alumnus (masculine, plural alumni) or alumna (feminine, plural alumnae) is a former student or pupil of a school, college, or university.

Today, Nurture International School, had conducted The Alumni Club Meet, bringing the ex-students “back to the school” to reminisce about their school days. The grade X students along with the in-charge teachers had planned a great day, but owning to COVID the meet was conducted online.

Traditionally, we start any auspicious day with lighting of the lamp, and this meet also started with lighting of the lamp albeit digitally with a soul calming prayer, to make our lives enlightened with knowledge and wisdom.

Everyone was welcomed by Dev with his excellent welcoming speech outlining the nostalgia of having the ex-students coming back to school to re-live their school days with the current students and their ex-teachers who had taught them.

Vice Principal, Suma Ma’am, shared a few pearls of wisdom about the mission and vision of this meet.

Later, the anchoring host took over to take the meet step by step, where a tongue-twister game was played by the students, and it was fun and it loosened up the students. It made the students welcome and open to share, and then the students were asked to answer some interesting questions. Overall, the current students enjoyed the time with the ex-students. The ex-students shared what they are doing currently, and they also were happy to meet their ex-teachers

Our beloved Principal ma’am assured students that the school is backbone for all the students, and for any help they can approach the school without any hesitation.

This kind of welcoming by principal ma’am and vice principal ma’am made the students realize that home is where the heart is, and though they have flown away from the house in search of future, they can come back to perch and take rest.

All the students were taken back in time by a visual reminder of a video where our current ex-students were current students of the school, their innocence apparent on their faces of the photos, where the grown-ups watched at themselves with awe.

Overall, the programme was a resounding success, and the students at the end were not ready to logout at all, and expressed regret of not attending the meet physically due to COVID restrictions and hoped that they would soon get a chance to meet everyone. The meet was emotional, and created a memory of its own, making all of us at the meet realize that such meets are more meaningful to bring together the students together.
